Lagos discovers another apartment under the bridge

Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, on Thursday said the state government discovered an illegal settlement under the Osborne Bridge, Ikoyi, Lagos State.

Wahab shared this information via a post on on Thursday, along with videos.

Sharing a video, the commissioner wrote: “Another illegal settlement has been discovered under Osborne Bridge, Ikoyi.

“Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps #LAGESCOfficial (KAI) has commenced immediate clean-up operation.”

This comes shortly after PUNCH reports detailed a similar discovery under the Dolphin Estate Bridge in Ikoyi where tenants were reportedly paying annual rents of N250,000.

Wahab specified that the apartment under the bridge consisted of 86 divided rooms, varying in size from “10×10” to “12×10.”
