Woman caught on CCTV trips child in United Square, causing him to fall, Singapore News

A woman was caught on video tripping a child and causing him to fall at the United Square shopping center on May 1.

John, Stomp contributor alerted Stomp about the incident and shared CCTV footage of the woman caught in the act.

“This crazy woman attacked an innocent child for no reason!” he said.

In the video, she is seen approaching the boy from behind and sticking her leg out, causing him to stumble and fall.

She then walks away before the boy’s father stops her.

The Stomp contributor’s footage also included photos of the woman holding a wrapped Toys ‘R’ Us package while being confronted.

H told Stomp that the CCTV footage was provided by the manager of a bubble tea stall in the shopping centre.

“The family left the nearby Toys ‘R’ Us when the woman was walking behind them and suddenly kicked the child in the calf, causing him to fall,” John said.

“The boy’s father saw it and immediately stopped the woman who tried to deny him and wanted to escape.”

The Stomp contributor said he saw the boy’s parents and mall security guards detain the woman who was heard saying she was also a mother.

“The victim’s father then said, ‘You should be so ashamed for attacking a child when you’re a mother!'” the Stomp contributor said.

“No reason was given as to why he kicked the child.

“Throughout the entire episode, the poor boy seemed extremely traumatized.”

John added that police officers arrived shortly after, but the woman remained “unapologetic and aggressive” toward the family.
