Manchester United will reportedly make another attempt to sign Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

The 29-year-old midfielder has impressed for the Serie A side this season, but his current contract expires at the end of June.

United attempted to sign the Frenchman on a free transfer last summer, but the player’s high wage demands meant the interest was shelved.

Rabiot, whose mother and representative Veronique is a formidable negotiator, ended up signing a one-year extension in Turin.

But Erik ten hag remains interested in Rabiot and United will rekindle their interest this summer, according to Italian outlet La Stampa, via Calciomercato.

The player has not yet entered into negotiations with Juventus over another extension and talks will not take place until the club seals qualification for the Champions League.

They currently sit third in the table with four games left in the season.

Massimiliano Allegri’s future will also play a role in Rabiot’s future at Juventus, with the Italian manager coming under increasing scrutiny.

Rabiot, who has won 43 caps for France, has made no secret of his desire to play in the Premier League in the past.

“I have always said that I would like to play in England during my career,” he said in December 2022. “I still have that desire.” I would like to evolve in the Premier League.

‘It’s the league, it’s the level of play there is, that’s what attracts me the most. It corresponds to my qualities.’

A new midfielder is likely to be one of Erik ten Hag’s top priorities heading into the summer.

A new midfielder will be one of United’s priorities in the summer and signing Rabiot on a free would make sense given the pressures of financial fair play rules and the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules.

Rabiot has scored four goals and contributed three in 28 Serie A games this season.
