FG condemns ‘appalling’ murder of Nigerian teenager in UK

The Federal Government of Nigeria has condemned the murder of 14-year-old Nigerian boy, Daniel Anjorin, in the United Kingdom.

Honorable. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, President and CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, in a statement by the organisation’s media chief, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, on Thursday described the incident as “very unfortunate, sad and appalling”.

She expressed her condolences to the family of the deceased and the Nigerian communities in the United Kingdom, praying for God to comfort the family of young Daniel whose life was cut short on Tuesday.

Daniel Anjorin was stabbed in his school uniform in Hainault, east London, on Tuesday by a man in a terrifying rampage that left four other people injured.

She is optimistic that drastic measures will be taken to ensure that the culprit, who is already in police custody, is punished accordingly.
