The Thai Hunks cancel Mr Mookata’s appearance after being denied entry to S’pore and replaced by local boys.

The Thai Hunks no longer appear at the opening of Mr Mookata’s new restaurant after being denied entry into Singapore.

The four Thai Hunks, who went viral after taking over Mr Mookata on Liang Seah Street in August 2023, were originally scheduled to grace the grand opening of the restaurant’s new store on Tanglin Road from today (May 3) until on Sunday (May 5).

In a turn of events, the ragged quartet, who hail from Bangkok restaurant Sathanee Mee Hoi, were denied entry into Singapore just a day before their opening date.

Instead, more than 10 guys from Singapore will take their place, Mookata Plus said in a recent update.

The Thai Hunks have since returned to their home country.

According to 8days.sg, the manager of Mr Mookata Plus is also unsure of the details regarding the Thai Hunks’ refusal to enter Singapore.

On May 2 (Thursday), one of the Hunks, Sarawut Siriphet, uploaded a post on Instagram showing himself on his way to Lion City.

Shortly after, he bid farewell to Singapore with a caption that read “BKK calling.”

The four Thai Hunks have since returned to their home country.

During her appearance at Mr Mookata’s Bugis establishment last year, her lewd performances, which included gyrating, booing and other suggestive acts, attracted a large crowd of onlookers.

More than 10 Singapore massifs will take their place

In a Facebook post on Friday (May 3), Mookata Plus apologized to those hoping to see the Thai Hunks in action.

Acknowledging the “sad news,” the restaurant promised to offer complimentary free-flow beer to all buffet patrons.

If that wasn’t enough, the restaurant also promised to host “10+ SG Hunks”, sharing an image of ten men (presumably the Singapore Hunks in question) posing in front of the Mr Mookata sign.

The restaurant manager clarified to 8days.sg that these Singapore Hunks were part of the original plan, not a last-minute addition, meant to interact with their Thai counterparts during the opening of Mr Mookata Plus.

MS News has contacted Mr. Mookata for more information.
