HSBC hires former Citi corporate banker in Singapore

HSBC’s global banking arm has announced the appointment of a new director in Singapore.

Gilberto Ng has been named Singapore’s head of global banking, according to a statement, happening Priya Kini who took on a new role earlier this year as head of commercial banking in Singapore. Based in Singapore, Ng functionally reports to Cristina Mahead of global banking, Asia Pacific, as well as country level for HSBC Singapore CEO Wong Kee Joo.

Ng has extensive experience in corporate finance and risk management, as well as a strong client network spanning large local corporations, the public sector, financial institutions and multinationals in Singapore. Before joining HSBC, he worked at Citigroup for more than 17 years, most recently as head of corporate banking in Singapore.
