Discussion | Mbeki attacks Zuma and defends his own legacy

JOHANNESBURG – Former president Thabo Mbeki used his Freedom Day Dialogue to lash out at Eskom and Jacob Zuma.

He criticized Eskom for dropping the ball and plunging the country into darkness.

Mbeki also accused Zuma of being a wolf in sheep’s clothing, saying he had reversed many of the gains made.

The second democratic president oversaw the ANC during its most popular period under democracy.

An eNCA survey also found that he was the most liked leader, even after his tenure was abruptly cut short.

We spoke more about this with political analyst Mpumelelo Mkhabela.
