Mnangagwa totally captures the ZCTU – ZimEye

Mnangagwa completely captures the ZCTU

By a correspondent

Former MDC Alliance and CCC Youth Assembly spokesperson Stephen Sarkozy Chuma has leveled serious allegations against the Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU), alleging that it has fallen under the dominance of Zanu PF leader Emmerson Mnangagwa.

In a statement issued Thursday, Chuma did not mince words, stating:

“Labor Day! A reminder of how ZANU PF destroyed industries and state-owned enterprises like NRZ. Big businesses fled due to bad policies. Industries now became churches.

A country of lazy people and salesmen! Some lucky ones who have jobs receive pittance. Workers get up!”

Turning to X, Chuma further accused the ZCTU of being a mere mouthpiece for the Mnangagwa administration:

“After @MutasaPeter, the ZCTU has become a hollow tube huffing and puffing at Emmerson Mnangagwa scum.

A Workers’ Day organized under the current ZCTU is an insult to real workers. An insult to Benjamin Burombo, Joshua Nkomo and Morgan Tsvangirai!”

Chuma’s comments highlight growing concerns about the ZCTU’s apparent alignment with the ruling party, sparking debate within Zimbabwe’s political landscape.
