‘First class victory’ for Labor in Blackpool, says Keir Starmer – video | Policy

Keir Starmer called the Blackpool South election result “truly historic” after the party’s candidate, Chris Webb, won the seat in the Conservative party’s third biggest swing to Labor in post-war history. Webb, a local and firm favorite, won with 10,825 votes, followed by David Jones, the Conservative candidate, with a distant 3,218 votes, who finished ahead of the Reform candidate, Mark Butcher, with 3,101 votes. The Labor leader called Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to tell him the country demands change.
